AUGUST STAMP CLUB PROJECTS

 

It's time for STAMP CLUB again!!!  We will create these three birthday cards as well as one more.  I'm just a little behind on the creative juices for that one!

All groups meet at 9:30 a.m. in my home craft room in Prescott Valley.  Cost is still $20 for the 4 projects.

AUGUST Stamp of the Month Special

CHOCOLATE - what a wonderful invention!!!  And if you are a big fan of chocolate like me, you'll LOVE the August Stamp of the Month from CTMH - A Chocolate Affair.  The display board above is a replica of the one in the new Idea Book, showing all kinds of possibilities for this stamp set.  It makes use of one of the new frames - this one is the Designed Colonial White Frame.  There is also a Black frame that has clothesline wires strung across instead of the chicken wire!

In addition, I used pigment inks and stamped on the napkins for my recent Open House!

PREVIEW OF NEW IDEA BOOK PRODUCTS FROM MY OPEN HOUSE

 I want to thank all those who made it to the Open House on July 22.  What a fun time we had!

You see the Make-N-Take project we did to the left.  This featured the new Laughing Lola paper pack (isn't that a FUN name?) as well as tags from the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  We used the new scallop border punch and corner rounder and added a metal flower from the jewelry collection - but it's not just for jewelry.  These beautiful flowers work great on any item you want to add dimension to.

There were also samples of upcoming workshops - dates are still to be set.   Photos are shown below.

This 12 X 12 display tray has been staring at me for nearly a year - waiting for just the right papers and pictures.  The new HUNTINGTON paper pack and Stickease collection, as well as the Huntington assortment and the new Rosewood mini-medley collection were perfect!  Of course, if your photos work better with another paper pack, that is great.

I decided that the 5 X 7 hinged diplay tray was just right for photos of my two sons - from early on to present day.  The PRO PLAYER papers were used on this project - not many embellishments because the photos kind of speak for themselves! 

The Bracket Frame is a 9 X 9 chipboard frame you can cover with whatever paper and then add embellishments.  The one on the left was actually used as a wedding gift, but you can see the possibilities.  The chalkboard bracket frame will be a project workshop - it will allow you to interchange greetings throughout the year, as well as the decorations on the frame itself.  The details and products used are still being refined, but I'll have the information out soon.

Laughing Lola is back again for this 16-card set, complete with covered chipboard box.  A variety of stamp sets are used to complete this project, but they include the new Laughing Lola Cardmaking WOTG kit as well as past WOTG stamp sets and current stamp sets.  A great project to use as a gift or to just to keep so you have PLENTY of cards to send out through the year.

OPEN HOUSE and AUTUMN/WINTER IDEA BOOK PREVIEW!

My Open House is fast approaching!  It will be held Monday, July 22nd from 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. - this should allow anyone with conflicts (like work!) during the day to come later into the evening.

There will be a Door Prize - a LARGE CTMH organizer - earn one ticket in the drawing for attending, another for every new guest you bring, more for participating in various activities at the Open House, and another for every $10 you order from CTMH during the month of July.

Refreshments will be served.  No need to RSVP unless you are bringing several extra people.

The main reason for this Open House is for you to see the new Idea Book from CTMH - and all of the wonderful products that they are introducing.  The new book is active the first of August.  This gives you time to see what is coming and decide if you still need to get anything else from the retiring book before it is gone at the end of July.

I will have a make-and-take project that will allow you to work with the new papers, embellishments, and tools.

In addition, I will have samples of projects we will be doing in Stamp Club in the coming months as well as workshops that I will be offering.

MY VERSION OF THE CANVAS ART KIT!

Remember that this month the Canvas Art Kit Workshop of the Go is half price - so for only $19.95 you can create a great 12 X 12 project.  This is my version of it - made a bit of a change in the lettering, but that's what alphabet sets are for!!!  Everything I used on the canvas came in the kit - and here's what I have left over - plus the stamp set that can always come in handy.

So that's a whole other craft project ready to go!  Can't wait to have fun with these.

NEW - CTMH ARTBOOKING CRICUT CARTRIDGE

For those who are regulars in my classes, you know how much I use my
two CTMH Cricut Cartridges - they are about the only cartridges I use when I do anything!  

Well, CTMH has done it again and given us ANOTHER fabulous cartridge
called Artbooking and this one just blows me away!

Artbooking is packed with 700 different cuts:

- 30 Themed DOUBLE Page Layouts (total of 60 layouts) all size coordinated

- 10 Themed Mini Albums (8x8, 6x6, 5x7) with minimum 8 pages each

- Full page and partial page overlays (square and rectangles of each overlay)
which can also be used as stencils for inking or misting

- Loads of phrases

- Themed accessory images

- Themed and decorated photo mats

- Font

- So much you won't believe your eyes!

And if you say to yourself, well this one isn't for me because I mostly do cards, gifts or home decor then think again because ALL of it can be re-sized and used as pieces for any kind of papercrafting project!  Its got everything from a sweet little giraffee to a man and woman

As with the other CTMH Cricut cartridges, Artbooking is bundled with three D-size stamp sets
that coordinate with images on the cartridge, and three sheets of chipboard shapes
that also coordinate (frames, photo mats, and signage!).

Artbooking will be available when you can order from the new Idea Book on August 1.
