Whole Latte Love Challenge Card

It's pretty cool here in Northern Arizona as we are getting our first snowfall of the year.  Having something warm to drink is so nice.  This fun stamp set "Whole Latte Love" with coordinating dies from Close to My Heart was perfect to work with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, as well as the coffee theme at Shopping Our Stash and the Make It Hot theme at Stinkin' Inkers Challenge Blog.

The toffee colored patterned paper in the current CTMH Mix In pack was perfect for the strips in the design.  I added a little bit of antique linen Distress Inks behind the strips and splattered some gold shimmer brush over it all.  I used candy apple ink for the sentiment and the coffee sleeve.  The cup lid and edge of the cup were colored with the Spectrum Noir TriBlend marker - Earth Brown and Tan Blends.

The stamp set Whole Latte Love includes coordinating dies (Z3919).  The outlined heart die cuts come from the Heart Shaker Window Thin Cut Dies (Z3870).

Thanks for stopping by to check out this card.  Hope you enjoy something warm and cozy!

Perfect Match for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I love that the Perfect Match paper suite from Close to My Heart, while released in time for Valentine's Day, is versatile for any type of project.  This card, using the design over at this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, was perfect.  I wanted a card for a friend. I like that enough of the paper shows to let that beautiful Carolina blue to be seen, so that's what I used to mat the sentiment.

All products used on this card are from Close to My Heart.  I used the Candy Apple Pigment ink with clear embossing powder on the sentiment, which is "You Are Loved" (M1269).  The circle is cut from Ballerina cardstock and the Carolina cardstock was used with the Scallop Circle Thin Cut Die (Z3639).  I added a few punched hearts from scrap, black shimmer trim (Z1809) and a few black dots (Z3314) to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the blog world.  Be sure to pop over to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog to see what other creations used this sketch.

Every Thank You for Freshly Made Sketches

Happy New Year everyone!  This is my first post of 2021 - still seems strange to say and write a new year!  I am thankful for many things, and the Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart is "Every Thank You."  How perfect so that we can send thanks to those that shared with us during the holidays or just in everyday life.

This card was designed using the sketch that is over on Freshly Made Sketches - actually ending in about an hour, so I'm getting in just under the wire.  But I enjoyed a relaxing weekend and finished the card this morning.

The sentiment on the card is from the "Every Thank You" set that I mentioned (S2101) and the flowers are from the Operation Smile set "Every Bit of Wonderful." (D1977)  Both are shown below.

The flowers were colored with the Spectrum Noir Triblend markers.  I added some Liquid Pearls to the centers of the flowers and a little bit of Stickles to the foliage.  The background paper is the Canary sheet from the current Mix-In paper pack from CTMH.

Be sure to pop over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see other cards created from this sketch.  And if you are interested in any of the products I used on this card, check out my CMTH website.

Thanks for stopping by, and hope your year is going well!
