SPRUCED UP GREETING

I love wood grain papers.  And the lighter, the more versatile I think they are.  This particular paper is from the new Spruced Up paper suite from Close to My Heart.  The paper you just barely see in the background has a nice winter foliage scene with this same little bird.  Both are matted on Sangria cardstock, and I used Sangria and New England Ivy inks.

If you follow my blog, you'll know that I like to get inspiration from various challenge blogs.  The sketch given back in mid-December by Freshly Made Sketches really worked for me with this stamp set (Spruced Up Cardmaking with dies).  With the holidays, the challenge is still open, so guess I'd better get this posted up!  I actually had it finished shortly after the challenge started, but with family time and travel, I'm a bit behind with my posting!

Besides the wood grain paper I love so much, the Spruced Up paper suite with stickers has lots of great designs with rich colors.

Be sure to check out the other great projects submitted to Freshly Made Sketches for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by - and have a crafty start to the new year!
