I used the Freshly Made Sketch #552 for the basis of the card. The papers are from the Crisp Air pack from CTMH. I had the background piece and the plaid piece all figured out, but couldn't find a coordinating pattern for that last tilted rectangle. But no problem - I grabbed the pack of Picture My Life cards that coordinate with the paper and found the perfect piece. So glad that all the elements came together.
You can click on the sketch link highlighted above to see all of the other great cards created using this sketch. One of the things I love about challenges is that you really have a lot of freedom with what you are given, and it's fun to see how everyone interprets it!
The sentiment is rather large, and to put it on a circle and mat that circle created something too big for the card front. So I decided to fussy cut the sentiment and let it hang over a smaller circle that worked.
I actually inked the sentiment with pine ink - the same color as the green cardstock on the card. I decided to make it stand out a little more by using clear embossing powder over the green, and it ended up looking more black than I had anticipated. So I brightened it up by adding color to those leaves and acorns.
The stamp set I mentioned is seen below. You can see it on my website. I think you can see why this set is great for someone who loves autumn!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week.
