Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Yesterday, my family attended a very special piano recital presented by a friend on his 88th birthday - a pretty amazing accomplishment!  Such an event called for a special card, so I hand-pieced the keyboard.  I actually copied a page from one of my son's music books for the background and used the Cricut Quarter Note cartridge for the "Bravo" phrase.

Because I made the card as an easel card, I'm entering it in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC224) this week, since this week's challenge is to create a card that opens in a non-traditional manner.

JUNE Stamp of the Month from CTMH

I finally had time to play with the June Stamp of the Month - A Flowering Bunch!  There were so many wonderful samples displayed on Pinterest, but I wanted to do something different.

SO - I cut 5 shapes for each flower, embossed them with white, and assembled a bouquet!

I used the same straws from Queen & Co. that I used for the pinwheels with May's Stamp of the Month. 

I also used the group floral image and created a simple card using the CAS(E) this Sketch! #30 sketch.   I'd just gotten a new Cuttlebug embossing folder - Wicker Weave - so gave it a try!

CTMH June SOTM with Mojo Monday 295

 I just finished the bonus project for June's Stamp Club - and I used the Mojo Monday 295 sketch to complete it.  I started with one of the new Paper Pouches from CTMH - this is the large one - stamped on it, added some black shimmer tape, and used the June Stamp of the Month - A Flowering Bunch.  I used Cotton Candy as the accent color with all of the black and white, as well as a black glitter button and clear sparkle.

The paper pouches come in two sizes - small and large - and are food safe.  But they are also perfect to use as a small gift bag or favor bag at a party.  This one could be cute on a table and instead of the greeting stamped on the banner, you could put the guests' names and include a goodie for them!

LOTS of PINWHEELS!

As you continue through today's posts, you will see that I've been having lots of fun with the May Stamp of the Month - Pinwheel.  I made this bouquet by attaching the pinwheels to fun straws that I found online - and then I located them at local craft stores. 

The straws are from Queen and Co. and are very sturdy paper - and they come a great variety of colors and patterns.  I purchased these from scrapbookpal.com where I found a large assortment to choose from.  I later found them at the local Hobby Lobby store, but with a limited selection.

I was able to pierce a hole at the top of the straw to put the brad through, then used the paper piercer tip to go inside the straw and separate the prongs.  Makes for a very sturdy pinwheel - put it doesn't turn in the wind!

PINWHEEL STAMP FOR MOJO MONDAY 292 AND AMUSING CHALLENGES - MOTHER'S DAY

I'm still creating projects with the pinwheel stamp - just love combining the colors and patterns of this stamp set.  So much fun!  This time I used the sketch from Mojo Monday and the theme of Mother's Day from Amusing Challenge.  I pulled out the Dotty paper from last year's National Scrapbooking campaign and then added some dotted embossing. DREAM POP PAPER, PINWHEEL AND SSC46 CHALLENGE

The new Dream Pop Paper from CTMH (available with qualifying purchase during May) is so beautiful, I just had to make another card with it.  I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps Challenge.  I missed the deadline for submitting it, but was still happy that I chose this sketch for the card.  The sketch was designed to showcase background papers, and I think it did just that with this wonderful paper pack.
