Elegant Snowflake Waterfall Card

It's getting cool here in Northern Arizona.  We got rain, but no snow at this point.  I think I can wait a little longer for the white stuff to come down.  In the meantime, I created a card full of snowflakes - and it's a waterfall card.  That means that when you pull on the tab at the bottom of the snowflakes, the layers of the card open up.  Take a look at this quick video and see how it works!

This technique card is made really easy because of the waterfall thin cut die that Close to My Heart came out with in September.  The elements of this die (Z3777) are shown below.  All the pieces you need to finish this card are included in this die set - found on my CTMH website.

Here are a few other photos showing how it looks as you pull it open.

The snowflakes are embossed with white on the Blue Belle color of the year cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped in Sapphire.

This card is really easy to put together, and is a part of my December card kit.  Contact me if interested

Jingle Joy for Fab Friday Sketch Challenge

The Jingle Joy papers have such fun Christmas colors!  And the sketch from Fab Friday was perfect for this "wrapped with love" card.  The stamp set, shown below, is from CTMH's Jingle Joy Cardmaking Workshop.  I love the script font used on this set.

Besides the fun colors in the Jingle Joy papers, they are all double-sided, with a different design on the back side.  So it was easy to create two cards with different themes with the same papers.  Just flipped them over and I could do a birthday card.

I'm so glad you stopped by to check out my card.  Don't miss out on the other projects created with this sketch over at the Fab Friday Blog.

CTMH Stamp of the Month for CASe this Sketch Challenge

It's been a while since I've participated in a sketch challenge.  I love the inspiration I get from not only the sketch, but from the artwork provided by the design team members.  So this week, I jumped back into the challenge world and loved the sketch from CASe this Sketch.  I thought the flowers were perfect!

I used "Happiness Never Grows Old" (shown above), the December Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart.  I love the floral images on this set, and used the Spring Blossoms embossing folder for the top element instead of stripes.  The sentiment is "In Your Time of Need."  I used Blue Belle and Sapphire inks and Blue Belle cardstock.

I love how layering the two floral sprays worked well with the contrasting colors.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the blog world.  And don't miss out on seeing the other great creations over at CASe this Sketch.

SERENITY CHRISTMAS CARD WORKSHOP

The Serenity papers in the November/December Close to My Heart catalog were perfect for this final Christmas card kit of this season.  The rich blues mixed with gold and glitter really worked well together.

This kit includes six cards that have more of a clean design than the previous kits.  Very quick to put these together, yet the colors are striking!  You will create two each of the "JOY" and "NOEL" cards, and there are two unique Merry Christmas cards. Take a look at the video below - and it shows all the stamps and dies that were used on the cards.  As with the previous kits, if you would like to add any of these stamps or dies to your collection, bundle them together with the kit at a 15% savings.  And this time, I will give you a week after you receive your kit to decide if you want to purchase these add-ons.  Sometimes you just don't know until you see them in person!

Let's take a look at the details of the individual card sets.

The pine cone border paper has the delicate leaf pattern on the reverse.  This gives you two unique cards with a Merry Christmas greeting.  Both have gold embossing and gold embellishing thread.  The stamp sets and dies that I used are shown below in case you are interested in bundling them with your kit and saving 15%!

The gold embossed Merry Christmas sentiment was cut out with the die included in the Jingle Joy Scrapbooking set.  The same set was used for the cluster of ornaments on the leaf print card.  Those ornaments and the Merry Christmas Trimmings sentiment use the Fancy Brackets thin cuts as their backing.
Pricing information -
Jingle Joy Scrapbooking with dies - retail $34.95 discounted at $29.75 plus shipping & tax
Fancy Brackets Thin Cuts - retail $12.95 discounted at $11.00 plus shipping & tax
Merry Christmas Trimmings stamp - retail $3.95 discounted at $3.35 plus shipping & tax

You will create two of the NOEL card - but you can change the arrangement to make each unique.  White glitter paper is used for the bow, and gold foil paper accents the sentiment.  Product and pricing information is below.

The largest stitched bracket was used for the backing of the sentiment. This set came out earlier this year, so before you order, check you stash to see if you already purchased it! The small bow die was used on this card.  If you like that look, there is a large bow die in the core catalog on page 51.
Pricing information -
Small Bow Thin Cuts - retail $12.95 discounted at $11.00 plus shipping & tax
Stitched Brackets Thin Cuts - retail $9.95 discounted at $8.50 plus shipping & tax
Stacked Noel stamp - retail $3.95 discounted at $3.35 plus shipping & tax

I used both sides of the same piece of paper for this card and used the new Blue Belle glitter paper at the transition point.  The JOY sentiment and bow are embossed in gold to bring some shine to these cards.  The wreath has dimension as the leaves pop up!

The wreath stamp (Serendipity Cardmaking) is a general purpose set that works well for Christmas.  The die that coordinates cuts curved slits that allows you to pop up the leaves all around the wreath.  And the wreath is really easy to stamp on the cut-out die shape.  So this set can serve you well all year long!
Pricing information -
Serenity Cardmaking with dies - retail $21.95 discounted at $18.70 plus shipping & tax
Flourished Joy stamp - retail $3.95 discounted at $3.35 plus shipping & tax
